Janne and Kim rediscovered the spark in the swinger club: Our children know it well
In the past, married couples went from Ballerup to badminton and dancing. Now the couple goes to a swinger club.
When the couple Janne and Kim got married for the second time, something new would happen in their relationship.
That's why Kim suggested that the couple should try a course in a swinger's club, Janne says.
- Kim came the second time and said to me that our marriage was probably built a little bit on infidelity, so he thought we should do some other things than go to badminton and dance, she says.
Kim had registered the couple for a course in tantra massage, which took place in the swinger club City Swingers in Amager.
After the course was over, Kim and Janne couldn't resist hanging around the club to see what was going on.
- So we met and saw what kind of people it was and got to talk to them. And we noticed, there was a hyggelig, good and cheeky atmosphere. We couldn't help but be turned on by it, says Kim.
Children and friends are doing well
After a couple of Saturdays on the course, Kim and Janne were accepted as full members in the club. Janne is 50 years old today, and Kim is 55 years old.
The middle-aged couple from Ballerup try to be as open as possible about their hobby. The couple's now adult children therefore know very well that their parents come to the club, says Kim.
- Our children know about it - maybe not in detail - but they know very well that there is something going on, he says.

Reactions from friends and acquaintances, on the other hand, can be mixed. Some would like to hear more, even if they could never think of joining a swinger club themselves. Andre doesn't ask about Janne and Kim's hobby. Some also have prejudices, which the couple tries to nuance.
- If you ask a neighbor what goes on in a swinger club, the person will say: Everyone fucks everyone, says Kim.
- They are ignorant, and then they are nervous about what it is, says Janne.
When "clothing friends" meet swinger friends
With a crooked smile, Janne and Kim refer to the friends who don't make clothes in the local swinger club as their "tøjvenner".
It also sometimes happens that the couple's two worlds collide when friends from the swinger club invite you to the family birthday party.
- Der er nogle, der kommer hen og pång: How do you know Janne and Kim?, Janne tells and continues:
- Yes..., are you going to have the nice one, or are you going to have the rough version?, reads the brave question from the swinger friends, she says.
Kim adds:
- If they choose the rough one, they tend to say: I am beating Kim's wife, and Kim is beating my wife. So people laugh, but they also don't want to know more, says Kim.
More than just a ball club
In Denmark, there are at least 11 official swinger clubs spread throughout the country.
But according to Janne and Kim, there are many prejudices about what swinger clubs are, and what is done in them.
There is much more than just sex that the members come to the club for. There is also lots of talking, laughing and drinking coffee, says Janne.
- There are some people who will be cared for. We talk about everything between heaven and earth. We just don't have clothes on, so it's more down to earth. We can see what each other looks like, she says.
Over time, the palette of events that the club hosts has also greatly increased.
Wine tastings, tapas evenings and dinners with food at a high gastronomic level are also some of the association activities that the club members share.
- Previously, there were no such events. Maybe there were some dildo parties. But they have tried to make something more out of the food, and we really like that, says Kim.
