Are you a nudist, naturist or just like to sunbathe and swim naked
Here is a list of nude baths in Sweden:
Gothenburg and surroundings
Smithska Udden's nude bath
This popular nude pool is an official nude pool in southern Gothenburg on the Näset peninsula. The nude pool is located a stone's throw from the parking lot and a short walk from the "Näset" bus stop.
At Smithska Udden's nude pool, there are two places where people sunbathe naked. The western (and perhaps more popular) "Stenholmen" is marked on a rock along the path.
Sometimes you will also find nude bathers on the eastern cape. But here there can also be visitors in swimwear.
Smithska Udden's nude pool is a beautiful rock pool, so bring something soft to put under you.
The nearest trash can and toilet are at the textile bath a few hundred meters away from the nude bath.
Saltholmen cold bath house
A little south of Gothenburg, you will find the historic cold bath house that was inaugurated over 100 years ago on wonderful Saltholmen! The bathhouse was inaugurated in 1908 and has been run by a non-profit association "Kallbadhusets Vänner Saltholmen" since 1976.
There is parking in connection to the nude pool in Saltholmen. During high season, you may have to park a bit away and walk to the bath house. You can easily get to Saltholmen by bus or by trams 9, 11, 13 that stop at the "Göteborgs Roddförening" stop. It only takes 8 minutes to walk from the stop to the Nude Bathing Association.
The nude bath house has three sections: Men, women and mixed. The three nude baths are not visible to the others. The ladies' is the larger of the three and also has a wonderful little sandy beach.
The nude bath in Saltholmen is an association activity that is open to members and day visitors. As a rule, the nude pool requires members and day visitors to sunbathe and swim naked. A simple little rule that ensures the cold bath house remains a haven for nude bathers!
See Kallbadshuset's website for more information on opening hours, rules, price or membership fees.
Great Amundön
On the southwestern tip of Stora Amundön we find one of Gothenburg's most secluded nudists. The easiest way is to approach by car, but it is forbidden to cycle or drive motor vehicles on Stora Amundön. The nude pool is some distance from the nearest bus stop and is difficult to get to. At times, the walk over the rocks and in the bright sun can be difficult. But the goal is definitely worth it!
Once there, you will enjoy a wonderfully naked and liberating nature experience! Getting out to the nudist beach is definitely worth the trouble.
It's a bit of a walk to the nearest kiosk, so bring a lunch bag for the nude bath. That way you can enjoy being freely naked in nature and just relax!
Mollön (Uddevalla)
For a long time, Mollön has been a valued and well-visited place for the residents in and around Uddevalla. Although it is not yet an official nudist bath, it is widely known as a place where naturists like to turn. This idyllic bath is located about 5km west of central Uddevalla and it is easy to get there.
There is plenty of parking and it is within walking distance to Unda Camping. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the car park to get to the rock pool. There is also a small sandy beach perfect for children to play on.
